Lighting: Is the key to creating professional images. Once you have increased the shutter speed, adjusted the aperture and set the focus, you will need to increase the quantity (and quality) of light illuminating your objective.
Most clinics or labs are fitted with normal 'office lights', sodium, florescent, halogen or incandesant. These will not provide enough light for the subject, turning your image grainy and/or light orange. You will need to purchase additional lighting to enable the camera to see the subject being filmed. It doesn't matter how you mount the light so long as your provide enough
Wall Mounts: The camera and light will remain on the same vertical plane (and distance apart) no matter what the perspective is. Once carefully mounted to the wall you will never need to worry about camera/light position or alignment again. The camera/light can be easily moved up and down this plane without fear of 'positional corrupting' the data. Therefore two images, captured months apart, can be analysed for variant behaviour knowing that the images were recorded in precisely the same position under the same lighting. This reliable positioning cannot be achieved with a free standing tripod in a busy clinic. Those who have moved over to 'wall mounted cameras' wonder why they didn't in the first place.
Floor Mounts: All the core components are the same except the column is mounted to a base plate. This is perfect solution for clinic's that want the benefits of a professional mounting system and the flexibility of space.
Lightpod: These are bespoke units made for Mar-Systems that can support a 30kg lighting unit. Engineered from 40mm and 45 mm diameter lightweight steel tubing. Adjustable main shaft and pin anchorage for central column. The Lightpod has been finished in matt black to reduce reflections that might affect the recording.
Ceiling and Wall: These light fixtures and can be mount directly to either the ceiling or wall. Light can be adjusted to illuminate to your objective.
Barn doors: Barn doors are available for all light units, please specify when ordering. Barn doors simply screw into the face of the light to restrict the beam to the area it is required.
