Cameras

TEMPLO’s philosophy is to capture ‘Live’ images and data directly through the video analysis software into a database for ease of use and handling. With TEMPLO video analysis software you are also able to record to camera for importing later, however, although this is effective, it is time-consuming.

Below we have created a camera overview – simple icons will show you which camera/computer set up will work best for you. PLEASE NOTE: Mar-Systems has a wealth of experience in this area so please don’t hesitate to call us on 01344 623 883

Full HD (High Definition) Camcorders 1920 x 1080i

PC Requirements:
HDMI Cable
HDMI Input Card

HD Camcorders provide a higher resolution that increases the image quality and improves the accuracy when tracking and measuring. Our software allows the replay of 50 frames per second – to a maximum of 10 metres.

For live video recording an Blackmagic Design HDMI input card is required for your PC.
PLEASE NOTE: Only Gigabyte or Asus motherboards are compatible.

POE Cameras (Power over Ethernet)

Required:
Cat 6 Cable
RJ-45 Port (GigE)
Power injector

PoE cameras are the best solution for gait analysis (walk or run). Unlike camcorders they offer 50 frames per second in full resolution (typically 1280 x 1024 or 2048×1024 pixels), enabling you to zoom right in to see discrete detail. They are ultra mobile and notebook friendly even over very long distances with the power being supplied via the Ethernet cable. High speed recordings at 100 fps for faster movements (2028×480 pixels) are also available. (High Speed Module required).

GigE Cameras

Required:
Cat 6 Cables
RJ-45 Port (GigE)
External power source

The Gigabit-Ethernet (GigE) cameras are connected via standard Cat 6 network cable to the computer and are capable of capturing 10 to 400 frames/s (dependent on model and resolution). The cables can reach a length of up to 100 m. All camera settings can be defined in the software.

Bullet Cams

Required:
Bullet Cam with Composite Connection
USB Video Digitalizer

Bullet cams provide superior images to webcams but don’t match the quality of an HD Camcorder. Unfortunately no zoom lenses are available nor do they allow easy focusing – but there are varying lenses to suit your needs. Bullet cams have automatic shutter speeds of up to 1/10000 of a second – the more light the faster the shutter – and the cable length can be extended up to 50 meters.

Webcams

Required:
USB Port

You can use webcams, however, they only produce 30 frames per second and the quality is poor, even with the latest cameras. You can’t adjust the shutter speed so you will see a lot of blur within those 30 frames.
